Weeds are so common and widespread, especially in spring and summer, and yet the general public do not fully appreciate their significance in terms of losses or control costs. In pest control we often encounter weed control in both agricultural and non-agricultural areas. In the latter, weed control jobs are often in suburban lawns and gardens, public parks and other recreation areas, rights-of-way of highways, railroads, industrial plants, channels, utility lines, and aquatic areas etc.
A weed is defined as a “plant growing where it is not desired” or a “plant out of place”. They include broad leafed plants, grasses, sedges, rushes, aquatic plants, and woody weeds that may include unwanted trees.

Many of you already know PCT’s professional range of quality insecticides and termiticides. However PCT’s capability also extends to herbicides, for crop, grass and pasture, turf and non-crop applications.
For example our Weedpro Bioaqua 360 is water-soluble glyphosate containing herbicide for non-selective control of most perennial, annual weeds, brush and woody weeds, unwanted tree control and aquatic weeds in non-cultivated situations. It is widely labelled for non-agricultural areas including around buildings, commercial and industrial areas, domestic and public service areas, rights of ways and aquatic areas as per the directions for use table. In agricultural crop areas it can be used in conservation tillage for control of weeds prior to crop sowing or post -harvest. It is suitable for boom spray, knapsack, wiper and controlled droplet application equipment.
Dicamba M is another herbicide. This selective herbicide contains MCPA and Dicamba for the control of a wide range of broadleaf weeds in
agricultural, turf and non-crop areas. It is suitable for boom spray, knapsack and high volume equipment application.
Our Buffalo Bindi and Broadleaf Weedkiller is a selective herbicide to use in cereal crops, grass pastures and turf. When called in to spray bindy-eye with Buffalo it will also control flatweed (cats ear), dandelion, capeweed, cudweed, thistles and plantain. It contains Bromoxynil and MCPA.
And finally Treeson Herbicide contains Triclopyr and Picloram and is used for control of unwanted timber by stem injection or
cut stump/brushcutter application. It can also be used for foliage spray application for the control of blackberry, gorse and harrrisia cactus. Its application can be made in agricultural non-crop areas, commercial and industrial areas, forests, pastures, and rights-of-way.
