Description
Pelsis Aura LED Insect Light Trap – Discreet Front-of-House Fly Control
The Pelsis Aura LED is a premium LED insect light trap designed for discreet flying insect control in customer-facing commercial environments.
Combining contemporary styling with professional fly management performance, the Aura LED uses energy-efficient UV LED technology to provide 360° attraction around the unit, drawing flies and other nuisance flying insects towards a concealed internal glueboard.
Its circular design, brushed stainless steel finish and hidden glueboard make it particularly suitable for cafés, restaurants, bars, hotels and other front-of-house locations where effective fly control is required without compromising the appearance of the space.
Discreet Fly Control for Customer-Facing Areas
Traditional insect light traps can be visually intrusive in front-of-house environments.
The Pelsis Aura LED has been designed specifically to address this issue.
Its compact circular housing blends into modern hospitality and commercial interiors, while captured insects remain hidden from customers and staff on the concealed internal glueboard.
This makes the Aura LED particularly suitable for areas where presentation, hygiene and discretion are equally important.

- Front-of-house hospitality spaces

Its silent operation also makes it suitable for environments where noise from an electric killing grid would be undesirable.
How the Aura LED Works
The Aura LED uses ultraviolet LED light to attract flies and other flying insects towards the unit.
Its circular design provides attraction around the full perimeter, helping increase visibility to insects approaching from different directions.
Once insects enter the trap, they become captured on an internal adhesive glueboard.
The glueboard is concealed within the unit, meaning captured insects are not visible during normal operation.
This provides both effective fly capture and a cleaner, more professional appearance in customer-facing environments.
360° Flying Insect Attraction
One of the key benefits of the Aura LED is its all-round UV attraction.
Rather than directing UV light primarily from one face of the trap, its circular design allows the light to be visible around the unit.
This makes it particularly useful in open commercial areas where flies may approach from multiple directions.
The design provides continuous flying insect attraction while maintaining a compact footprint.
Energy-Efficient LED Technology
The Aura LED uses just 7 watts of input power, helping reduce electricity consumption compared with traditional fluorescent insect light traps.
Pelsis states that the unit delivers up to 68% energy savings compared with the fluorescent Aura model, making it a strong option for commercial sites operating insect light traps throughout the year.
Lower energy consumption can help:
- Reduce electricity costs
- Lower long-term operating costs
- Support sustainability objectives
- Reduce the environmental impact of continuous fly control
- Improve efficiency across sites operating multiple ILTs
Hidden Glueboard Fly Capture
The Aura LED uses an internal adhesive glueboard to capture flying insects.
Captured insects remain hidden within the unit, preventing customers from seeing trapped flies during normal operation.
This is particularly important in:
- Restaurants
- Cafés
- Hotels
- Bars
- Reception areas
- Customer service environments
- Premium hospitality settings
The glueboard also allows pest managers to inspect captures during routine servicing and use the information to monitor flying insect activity.
Professional Fly Monitoring
Because captured insects remain intact on the glueboard, technicians can use the Aura LED as both a fly control device and a monitoring tool.
Regular inspection can help identify:
- Levels of fly activity
- Changes in pest pressure
- Seasonal trends
- Possible insect entry points
- Areas requiring additional investigation
- Changes following pest control treatments
This information can support a broader professional Integrated Pest Management program.
Easy Tool-Free Servicing
The Aura LED has been designed to simplify routine pest management servicing.
A hinged front guard provides access to the glueboard and LED components without requiring tools.
This can help reduce servicing time across sites with multiple insect light traps.
The keyhole fixing system also makes installation straightforward, while the IEC plug-in power connection means the unit can be installed without hardwiring.
Quiet Continuous Operation
Unlike electric killing-grid fly killers, the Aura LED operates silently.
There is no electrical zapping noise when insects are captured.
This makes the unit particularly well suited to hospitality, front-of-house and other customer-facing environments where noise could be distracting or undesirable.
Durable Stainless Steel Construction
The Aura LED combines brushed stainless steel with UV-stable polycarbonate components.
This construction provides a premium appearance while also offering durability for everyday commercial use.
The stainless steel finish makes the unit well suited to modern hospitality and commercial interiors where a conventional industrial-looking insect light trap may not be appropriate.

Front-of-House Insect Light Trap
The Pelsis Aura LED is particularly valuable where pest managers need to balance effective fly control with aesthetics.
In hospitality environments, visible flies can affect customer perception, while an unattractive or highly visible pest control device can create a similar problem.
The Aura LED addresses both issues by combining professional fly control technology with a decorative design intended to blend into the surrounding environment.
Supporting an Integrated Fly Management Program
The Aura LED should be used as part of a broader commercial fly management strategy.
Professional pest managers should also investigate:
- Fly breeding sources
- Waste storage
- Food residues
- Cleaning and sanitation
- Drainage systems
- Doors and windows
- Fly screens
- Structural entry points
- Organic material
- External fly pressure
The Aura LED provides continuous indoor fly capture while helping technicians monitor changes in flying insect activity over time.
Pelsis Aura LED Insect Light Trap Australia
The Pelsis Aura LED provides Australian pest managers and commercial operators with a premium solution for discreet flying insect monitoring and control.
Its 360° UV attraction, concealed glueboard, 7W LED technology, silent operation and brushed stainless steel design make it particularly well suited to cafés, restaurants, hotels, bars and other customer-facing environments.
For commercial sites where appearance is just as important as fly control performance, the Aura LED offers a strong alternative to conventional industrial insect light traps.
