It is well recognised that light in the ultraviolet (UV) range is attractive to flies and other insects. Further research has demonstrated that wavelengths between 310 and 370 nm are the most attractive to house flies. The new FLT Insect Light Trap (ILT) uses light tubes of the specified wavelength to attract flying insects, which then become trapped on the super-adhesive glue boards situated within the trap. The FLT is a versatile flying insect catching system that effectively lures, captures and kills a wide variety of flying pest insects.
